KJV Study Bible reivews and recommendations Uncategorized by admin - March 19, 20130 Following are recommendations for Bibles. Our top recommendation: Thompson Chain Reference KJV Bibles are simply the best of their kind. There is not another that I recommend more highly. I received my first Thompson Chain from my sister on my eighteenth birthday many years ago. I literally wore this Bible out as the binding finally came loose after more than frequent use. I love this particular copy so much and have so many notes written in it that I am even considering having it rebound (which is extremely expensive) instead of opting for the cheaper option of buying a new one! Other Recommendations The Old Scofield – still a favorite of many throughout the decades since its first publishing I never owned a Scofield for years until I won a copy on the radio. The primary reason I never sought one out is that I knew I did not agree with many of C.I. Scofield’s notes on subjects such as the infamous gap theory as well as Leviathan and Behemoth (both in the book of Job). But I finally came to the realization that I don’t have to agree with all of the notes. I just have to agree with the Bible text, which is the Word of God. I do however still benefit from many of C.I. Scofield’s notes on other topics. You will have to decide for yourself. I have never owned a Ryrie Study Bible, but many people I know have recommended them to me. They are pretty popular and allegedly helpful. Giant Print KJV Bibles are always a help to those who have trouble reading small print as well as many preachers and teachers who may like to lay their Bibles on a pulpit or lectern while reading their text. The giant print is perfect for reading from distances such as these. Not to mention the price on this one is certainly right! I was not even aware that Evidence Bibles were available in King James Version until now. I have, however, seen many of the notes contained in it and you will not find better notes on proper evangelistic techniques anywhere! Find within its pages wisdom from great men of God like Spurgeon, Moody, Wesley, Finney, Whitfield, and others. The Evidence Bible also teaches you how to prove God’s existence and answer one hundred common objections to Christianity. You can even learn how to effectively show the absurdity of evolution, how to witness to an atheist, and how to share your faith with your family, co-workers, and everyone else. Never again be intimidated with the fear of not knowing how to witness to specific people groups like Jews, people with cancer, pro abortionists, Buddhists, Hindus, Mormons, Jehovah’s witnesses, homosexuals, or even lost church members (tares among the wheat).
