Do I have to confront Christ Jesus (i.e. “face Him”) and be judged by Him? Uncategorized by admin - January 13, 20140 Yes. Clearly yes. 2 Cor 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. Each will ‘receive’ according to their works. For those ‘in Christ’, that means ‘rewards’ of righteousness. So ‘judgment’ for those in good standing with our Lord Christ, is going to be a good thing! I Jn 2:28 And now, little children, abide in Him; that, when He shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before Him at His coming. 1 Pet 4:17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? 18 And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear? 19 Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to Him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator. We all fall short, as we all are sinners in this flesh, even still. If it were not so, then why would we need the Perfect Sacrifice of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ? Through repentance, asking Him to forgives us of our sins, having a change of heart and trying to improve, doing better… then we are counted ‘perfect’ in God’s sight, the slate being wiped clean (see Romans 7, where Paul said he constantly found battle between his flesh and his spirit, as we all do.) So by that, if that righteous group scarcely be saved, then what of the ungodly and sinners (habitual sinner) who love to sin against God? Stay in Christ Jesus, on The Rock.
